a hostel born of love & adventure

The year was 1994, and Stephanie decided to break all the rules and ship her motorcycle to the United States from Germany to travel solo across the country. Decked out in biker leathers and sporting a German license plate, she garnered quite a lot of attention, mostly for being a woman road tripping alone.

She wished she could change their minds and show them just how much fun the life of adventure was, so she did…with her own two hands in the hills of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. She built a hostel full of magic, wonder, where curious adventurers would be encouraged to try new things…get out there and explore.

american hostels are the best way to travel.

There is no better way to connect and immerse yourself in new experiences than through hosteling in the United States.

If you’re new to hosteling: the core of any good hostel is a budget-friendly, safe basecamp that offers opportunities for community and local experiences. A majority of hostels primarily offer shared dormitories, while most also offer private rooms. In addition to beds, hostels offer common areas for guests to make their meals, relax from a long day, repack their adventure gear, or to just meet other like-minded travelers. Our hostel does a little bit of both.

The hostel belief is that travel is for everyone and should be accessible to all communities, and we couldn’t agree more. Travel introduces us to people, places, and culture to help widen our world views and enjoy the experience a long the way.

We can’t wait to see you in New Mexico.
